Hi there!

My name is Chris Chappell I am a puppet builder and puppeteer. I began my journey into puppetry as a way to express my personal views on YouTube, without having my face on camera. I found puppets were a great way to express myself in a fun way. Each puppet is different and has its own unique personality. Over the years I have learned a great deal about puppetry, learning about the work that goes into making a great custom puppet and what makes a great puppeteer.

I developed these skills enough to start making a living with them. For the past few years I have been puppeteering for television, commercials and in kid’s shows. I am now an award winning puppeteer and film maker, in 2019 I was awarded Best NC short at the Peak City International Film festival. I’v also won several commercial contests, FOX50 and Hiester Chevrolet in 2015 and Spoofdance 2018 and 2019 . In 2016 was also awarded an artist project grant in 2016 to attend Beyond the Sock puppetry workshop at the University of North Texas with classes instructed by Peter Linz of Sesame Street and Noel MacNeal of Bear in the Big Blue House.

I also build custom puppets for clients for use in commercials, promotional videos and just for fun! Some of my clients include (ESPN, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Magical Butter, PBS, EWTV 22, ESPN+ (bettor days) and more.
