ESPN’s – Thinking Out Loud – SEC Network

In late September, Chappell Puppets was contacted about building two custom portrait puppets for ESPN’s show Thinking Out Loud.  The show airs Monday nights on the SEC network. The puppets are of Greg McElroy and Marcus Spears, the two hosts of the show. Building portrait puppets or look-a-like puppets are always a unique challenge because no two are the same. Capturing the likeness of a person into puppet form is an art form.  I built these puppets the way I always do, with careful attention to detail. The client requested that they be full body puppets, with arms and legs, and so that’s what I did. Check out the video here: Thinking Out Loud Show.

           Puppets for Television

I have been building puppets for over 6 years now, and this is my first puppet build for a television network. Most of my work before has been for local television here in North Carolina.
