It’s been a while since I designed a new puppet character for myself. So I decided to make something a little different. His name is Gill Merman, is he a fish? Is he a baby Mermaid? No one really knows. We only know he’s crazy, colorful and full of charm….well he’s full of something! I built him to fit a voice I have been carrying around for years, thought he would make a nice addition to the cast of characters I currently have.
He made his debut on TikTok yesterday, but it’s not his voice in the video. He’s made from the new F3 fleece. I dyed it myself because as of now I’m sure it only come in white. It takes dye extremely well. It has a strange texture, almost like Velcro. I still prefer Nylafleece to most of the alternatives so far like Fuzzelle and F3. I think it definitely has potential though.
He’s a pretty small hand puppet with no arm rods.
